The word duplex can mean a lot of different things. You’ll have to look into the manual. Generally when you’re talking about duplexing on an all-in-one, that means it will scan both sides and print on both side.

Inkjet Printers and Cartridges

the biggest cost of inkjet printers is consumables: ink and paper.  PC World does annual testing on the cost per page of most inkjet printers and concluded that inkjet printers with individual ink cartridges tended to have lower ink costs than models with tricolor cartridges when printing color graphics on plain paper. The same proved true for photo printers when printing glossy photos.

Ink Refill Kits

Many people swear by these refill kits. Some swear at them. You can certainly save money by using them, but they can be messy and you can run the risk of ruining your printer. To be safe, you shouldn’t refill a cartridge more than once. Also try different vendors — ink quality can vary. If you find one that works, stick with it.
