Remap Your Keyboard (Open programs with your keyboard)

August 24, 2007

The concept of opening and file or program on your computer with a simple press of a key is a simple matter of convenience. If you use a program regularly, and don’t wish to fish through the Start Menu, you can map a key on your keyboard to open the program.

Here’s How:

1. Find a key that doesn’t have a function, ie: F4, F7, F11, or F12.

2. Download a program, such as AutoHotKey or KeyTweak.

3. Install the program, open it, and remap a key(s).

4. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
